Dr. C.D. Bakala completed his M.D. training at UBC in 1988 and went on to further his specialty in residency training in Otolaryngology at UBC graduating in 1996. He also went on for additional fellowship training in facial plastics at the University of Toronto completing the program in 1995.

After his training was completed he decided to return to the beautiful city of Kelowna , BC where he and his wife grew up. He opened his practice in 1996 and has been offering his services to the wonderful people throughout the Okanagan ever since.

Dr. Bakala is Fellowship trained in Facial Plastic Surgery and is a member of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology in Canada and with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

In 1996 Dr. Bakala won the W.S Goodman Award from the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery.

Dr. C. Bakala is the only clinical instructor for surgical residence for Facial Plastic surgery outside the lower mainland
